Used for painting vehicles and other equipment of the German Army in the so-called second tropical scheme (Tropen 2) intended for use in Africa and Crete from March 1942 until February 1943. According to the army regulations RAL 7027 should cover 1/3 of vehicle’s surface in form of irregular patches with soft edges, with the remainder being painted in RAL 8020.
